Tsz Shan Monastery
Hong Kong, China
Nestled against the lush backdrop of Pat Sin Leng in Tai Po, Tsz Shan Monastery is a sanctuary of profound serenity and architectural elegance. Spread across 500,000 square feet, this Tang-style Buddhist complex is a masterpiece of sustainable design, featuring exquisite timber halls and manicured Zen gardens. The monastery's spiritual centerpiece is the majestic 76-metre bronze Guan Yin statue, the second tallest in the world, which gazes over a tranquil reflecting pool. Beyond its spiritual allure, the site houses a world-class Buddhist Art Museum, offering visitors a contemplative journey through ancient relics. To preserve its meditative atmosphere, the monastery strictly limits daily visitors through a required pre-booking system.
